Its Flea and Tick season!

Hey guys I was wondering in your opinion what was the best Flea and tick medicine. I have tried a few otc treatments and nothing seems to work on Skeeter. She loves the outside and I cant bare to leave her in all the time just because of the fleas. Right now she is using Zodiac and it well stinks. Well not literally it smells like oranges but thats all it seems to be doing is smelling good. My vet offers all sorts and she recomends all of them, thats really no help but before I spend any more money on treatments I would just like your opinion on what works best for your dogs.

Advantage works really well. Its a bit expensive but it works. We tried using Hartz on Jake once and it seemed as though the fleas got bigger and more appeared. We switched to Advantage and haven't seen a flea since.

living in florida we have a problem with fleas all the time.(no winter) I use advantix and we are free of fleas.:)

I use Revolution on both of mine. It is flea/tick/internal parasites and heartworm. It is a once per month topical. I haven't ever seen a flea or tick on either of them. We also have a problem year round with these pests.
I know there are other remedies too, you have to find what works best for you.

We use Frontline Plus for our two dogs. We were having a serious problem with ticks a few weeks ago but since applying the Frontline we haven't seen another tick! It kills them at all stages. Good luck because trying to get ticks off of a wiggling boxer is like trying to catch an ant blindfolded!!
