Has anyone elses "baby" gone thru the terrible twos at a year and a half???? We thought we got thru the worst of it with Quincey when he was 9-10 months old but lately he has just been a little devil - getting up on counters, stealing food (and believe me he gets enough to eat), tearing things apart. Sounds a little like bordum but we play with him lots, he has a lot of interaction with other dogs and people. And bold - you wouldn't believe how bold he is.............

At 1.5 yrs old....doesnt that make him a teenager? katie went through it, up until she was almost 3! Testing, testing, testing! about drove me nuts, now she is a mellow 4 yr old. well as mellow as possible for a boxer! Now my skin kid is starting those teen years!! and i am REALLY wishing it would only last 1.5 years instead of 20...

Hang in there and be consistent! They are just testing the boundaries.

Ronin is a little over one year, and he's already in this "phase". My DH is just about ready to throw in th towel (he's so fed up with Ronin's antics). I just have to keep reminding him that this is just part of Ronin growing up! This "puppy" chewed up one of my shoes yesterday. Luckily it was a rather "old" shoe that probably should've been thrown away a long time ago

I am glad to know that it isn't just Quincey that is going thru this. My MIL was looking after him and while she wasn't watching he ate an entire container of margarine he knocked off of the kitchen table - makes my stomache turn when I think about it - and now every time I bring out the maragine at home he's right there :( Yuck. He's also eaten a loaf of bread that she had on the kitchen table. I'm into them for a few bucks in groceries thats for sure :) The new trees in our back yard are missing strips of bark also - I'm tellin' ya, if he weren't such a sweety he's be getting a job :)

Oscar's Mom

Super Boxer
Oscar is testing us right now. He regressed on some of his commands and listens when he wants to. When he's outside he doesn't listen at all. And you're right, they are lucky they are so cute.

We took Quincey camping this weekend and I don't know if it was because he was out of his element or what but all of the manners went out the window and he was into everything. Poor little puppy walking by got the poop scared out of her when she was passing by 'cause he was also barking at every little thing :( And then he came in for a cuddle and all was well :) Ya, I'm the big mean mommy..............not.

mine toooo!

Our baby is 6 months old. He has been acting crazy lately as well. It seems that maybe he is starting a bit early. He ate our friends Oakley sunglasses, my sunglasses, broke a plate and pooped all over the house while peeing on my husbands clothes. This was while we were gone and he managed to escape from his metal crate by shaking it so hard one panel came lose. He has done this twice. We are getting ready to nueter him, hopefully that helps. So I also agree that he is lucky he is so cute.....
