Itchy ears

Tally is six months old and for the last couple of weeks has been scratching at her ears a lot. The skin does feel a bit dry and when she scratches they can go a bit red

Any ideas

My Molly has ear issues as well (see post from today) when they scratch alot they usually have low grade ear infections, a good ear wash from a pet store or your vet should clear it up. If the ears are red and inflamed you will need a prescription cream to calm down the infection.

Did you just wash your pup or is he/she a swimmer? water seems to set the infection off if they are not dried out ASAP, especially true for the uncropped boxers.

Thanks for the information

She developed a very bad ear infection and visited vet yesterday, is on antibiotics, drops and painkillers now. Vet thinks it is ear mites! will need to go back at the end of the week

She really is under the weather.
