Linus' Mom

Time has gone by so quicikly since last December 1st when I lost my sweet boy Linus. The pain is not as bad anymore but the ache in my heart when I think of him is still very much there.

We have a new Boxer now.. another white male named Cruiser. We often call him Linus my mistake because he looks so much like him. My husband and I used to joke that maybe Linus was reicarnated and has come back to us. We are now seeing clear signs that this is not the case. One of Linus's favorite rituals was to come into the bathroom in the morning when I was blow drying my hair and get blow dried for a few minutes. He loved the warm air!!! Cruiser HATES it!

The pictures are still everywhere and they are in spots where we see them everyday ( on the Fridge, by my nightstand etc..) We miss our sweet boy and will always remember him. HE was so well behaved ( and we only realize that now as we are trying to instill some manners on our off-the-wall 8 month old Cruiser).

Linus, we miss you so much and can't wait to see you again. We hope that you are running care free but have not forgotten us. I hope your heart is all better now. You will always have a great big part of our hearts.

Gosh, I did not think I would cry today. Guess I was wrong.............

I know today is a difficult time for you..I still feel the same way every year on the anniversary of the day we lost Poppy, and that was six years ago...Boxers have a way of entering your home, your life, and your heart, making an impact, and generating so much love, that, just like losing a human family member, you never forget. As time goes on, the crying stops, and you are left with the happy memories that can make you laugh and smile, but always on this day you will shed a tear for one that brought so much love and happiness to you.

Remembering you is easy,
I do it everyday,
But missing you...
Is the heartache that never goes away.

God Bless Linus, run free and happy, in a pain free world with all our Boxers at the bridge. angelicon

I am crying as I read your post. I also lost my sweet baby. I hope they are playing and running together! Right know the tears come easily. But it also warms my heart to know that they aren't in pain at the bridge waiting for us. angelicon

<<<Tears>>> My heart goes out to you today. I am sending you a big hug. I lost my Abby almost 6 yrs ago and it still hurts. I feel like there is a hole in my heart that will never heal. It has gotten better with time but I think about her alot. Most of the time I think about her it brings a smile to my face. I remember all of the wonderful times I had with her. She was my best friend. I could talk to her about everything and she would be right there to listen and give me a big hug and slobbery kiss. Linus angelicon I know you are having lots of fun and running pain free with my Abby and all of the other babies at the Rainbow Bridge. Watch over your mommy, she misses you so much.

Linus' Mom,

I could have written what you did WORD FOR WORD, except that it's only been 8 months since we lost Carley and ours are fawn, not white.

Did you really think you wouldn't cry? Tomorrow will be a new day with your crazy little one and this sad anniversary will be behind you. Try to concentrate on the happy times with Linus.

Hugs,
Kim

I'm crying as I write this, I know how hard today is for you. We lost Morrrissey in April and god, we miss him so much, part of my heart went with him that day, I have to keep thinking all our babies are together happy and playing, and one day we will see them again. Take care, big hugs....Kate, Morrissey's mommy.

Watch over your mommy and daddy angelicon Linus, they miss you very much

As another kind person here wrote to me when I was in tears on what would have been my pup's fourth birthday=tears are ok and a testament to the love you and your pup shared. You will never forget him and always have a tear or two in you but more smiles than tears I hope remembering him. He is running wild at the bridge but has one ear open waiting to hear your voice someday. Take care and feel better

thinking of you and sharing in your sorrow

Linus Mom: I truly know how sad you feel today remembering your sweet Linus. So many of us on BW truly know how hard it is to loose our babies and we can relate to your lovely tribute to your wonderful boy. it will be 2yrs for us on Jan 1st and there are times I still cry when I think of Riley, I think that tears are just part of the healing process. along with the tears there are also the smiles that sneak in when we think of some wonderful memories of our times together. Wishing you lots of wonderful memories sneaking in today along with your tears. (((((HUGS))) to you and your family and Crusier too.. ~Vickie & Cody

Run Free angelicon Linus hope your having fun with all your new friends and all our babies at the rainbow bridge
