Ok so you may not have tried it ;) but what what did your boxer think of the Wellness Whitefish and sweet potato formula? How did it go over? I believe it got 4 stars on the dogfoodanaysis.com website but I am hesitant on purchasing it because I can't imagine a dog going crazy for whitefish!

Any input welcomed!

My dogs LOVE fresh fish and salmon oil. But, Wellness (any of the formulas) was never Tess's favorite.

Moreover, it stinks to high heaven! Every time I'd walk passed the laundry room, I could smell it. :) That's all I remember about it vividly!

It's a good food, but there are equally as good choices that aren't stinky. I have a very low threshhold for stinky things, though, so you might be OK w/ it.

luna loved it but she STUNK!!!! it was so so so smelly! she did good on it, but i feed her tinberwolf now for more variety without rice. Timberwolf has a fish kind...oceanblue...that may be worth a try. There are a few other brands that have fish...natural balance, eagle pack holistics, pinnacle, etc...just do a search!

I tied a few samples of Wellness varieties kibble and canned and my dogs got hives from all of them. I have heard that dogs either do well or not at all on it.

Jinxy ate the fish and sweet potato up until today, and loved it. Unfortunately we couldn't seem to keep any weight on her, so we are trying something else. I wasn't bothered by the smell like some of the others were, but we had it in an air tight container.

I had Precious on California Natural Herring and Sweet Potate and she did very well on it. I have never smelled the Wellnews White Fish but the California Natural did not smell that bad. After she ate it she did not have a bad smell either. Can't say the same for when ate her canned Merrick Trout.
