I had wrote a little while ago about how cash just turned a year old and ate part of his blanket (which he had never done before) I am wondering if maybe he is going through a stage because he seems to be chewing apart all his toys now. He has went through more toys in the last week then he has since we got him. Nothing in his life has changed. He gets tons of excercise and he his happy. So why all the chewing?

I am hoping Sasha is going through the terrible two as well - she was really good on her own for 3-4 hours so we started to leave her out of her cage and for months and months she was fine. then one night she found some chocolate powder and some biscuits and ate them and that seemed to trigger her off stealing things and chewing - she never chewed anything she shouldnt as a puppy -even our friend had her shews with her one night and they had just been licked. She has since eaten the remote control for the tv and numerous pens and hair bands - it seems to be a plastic fetish b ut she also hunts out and i mean really hunts anything with sugar!!

I sympathise, so far this week (Mon & today) Zeb has ruined 2 dish cloths. If they are left too near the edge of the sink they're fair game to him. I've got a new one out this evening and hopefully he won't get it tomorrow, mum keeps forgetting and leaving it too near the edge nonoicon
He has also had a munch on the Sky remote and my sons designer beanie hat which I have to pay for apparently as I left it on the radiator drying within Zebs reach
He has just turned a year in January too, Lola on the other hand is a good girl :)

Reilly just turned a year old and does the same thing, always chewing something! Everything ends up in the back yard, I try to put everything up but sometimes forget. I can always tell when he has something he shouldn't because he looks like he's tip toeing (sp) along and goes towards the back door! Kate.

Reilly, aka baby Ra Ra, adopted Jan 2007.

My Tuff and Nikki do the same kinda stuff! He's about 2 1/2 and she's a little over a year . My backyard looks like homeless people live out there!anything they can steal out of the laundry room is fair game. cushions, sweaters, soap bottles etc. I find the most bizarre junk out there! Apparently stuff that I haven't seen in months they can find in seconds! But I love my knuckleheads!

Thor is nine months old and he has just started doing the same thing. Anything with "stuffing" he tears apart. I used to buy him the dog beds with the bumpers on them and he started eating through the bumpers and I'd find the stuffing all over in his crate. Same things with the toys that had stuffing in them. I think he just likes the stuffing so anything with that in it he tears up. He has a blanket in his crate and he hasn't chewed it at all. So....no more toys or beds with stuffing.

For Terra it was just a stage (2 years long stage, but just a stage). She chewed apart her new bed, my CDs, a whole new couch that I had to throw away, pillows (never her toys!), and she loved to spread the toilet paper all over the house! One time when I left her alone for 2 hours, I found the toilet paper all over the house along with all the contents from the trash can from the bathroom. It looked like a war zone! Now she's 5 and she never chews anything anymore, well except for her nayla bones, she loves that stuff!

it is good to know that everyone else is going thru this too, i thought i had the only bad boy in the world! Yesterday i came home from work and he had chewed up 3 empty boxes, one that had 1 dog biscuit left plus all the crumbs. This was all done on my bed! He chewed up some decorative horse lights that my mom had given me for Xmas. I let him out the front door (we live way off the road) to run and he got into the outdoor trash and strewed it all over the front yard, it was just dryer lint and laundry bottle lids, empty TP rolls and the like!
He is the one that showed up in my yard on Labor Day and is about 14 months old. When will it end? He also pees on the couch ( i have to hang a puppy pad on the arm), pees on the edge of my bed, the vanity table, etc.)
