it makes me sooooo mad when one large place ban's a whole breed of dogs because of a couple of people's misfortunes. yes, sometimes it is the dog's fault but yes, sometimes it is the human's fault...
example: the five week old baby who was mauled (in houston, i think). that was absolutely horrible. but why is a five week old baby in the room with a dog by him/herself? as good as Asia is with small children (has never bitten ANYONE), i would never leave her in a room by herself with a small child. where was the grandmother that was supposed to be watching her grandson/daughter? i think the dog was put to sleep and i believe it was a pit bull - boxer mix (although don't take my word for that).
lately i have experienced boxer discrimation (i never thought i would have to)! the apartments we were going to move into are brand new and even have an 18 hole championship golf course attatched (mark wants to go pro in golf so he could get a free membership to the course) but i asked about their pet policy and told them i had a year old Boxer and they said "oh i'm sorry, we don't accept that breed". i was floored!
i just can't understand a breed ban in a whole state or province due to the misfortune of a *probably* insignificant amount of people.
