Another Ohio Boxer Lover here....only we are between Akron and Canton....we live less than a mile from a dog park if anyone else is in the area though!

Akron is only about an hour from my hometown in Ohio. Rocky and I are moving back very soon! Yay for Ohio Boxers!

We're quite close to you. We live in Wooster.

There are a lot of Boxers around here. I think I saw more Boxers last summer when we frequented our local dog park than any other single breed.

Wooster isn't far at all...I'm over in Canal Fulton....and my father is in Doylestown! My boy is a bit young still.....but if we can find a dog park in the middle or such I'm game. We have a little one in Canal Fulton, but it's just that "little."

As for a boxer get together...I'd be in! I met some folks this weekend that were in town for an AKC show at the Canton Fairgrounds and they all went on about how good Red Roof Inns are when bringing the pups along....just something to keep in the back of our heads.

The Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue does a Ohio Boxer Bash once a year usually in October and in Columbus I think...

Interesting.... I go to the park with Violet for at least an hour everyday, and I have NEVER seen another Boxer.

I have seen all the Ohio intros and wondered where these people are. They aren't near me. The park we go to has a lot of Goldens, Labs, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and German Shepards. I havent even seen a Boxer mix....

Where are the Boxer fans hanging out? We need to know...sometimes the owners of the other dogs dont like the way that Violet "boxes." It would be nice to go where she is a little more understood.

Used to be a "Buckeye"

Maggie's daddy used to be a "buckeye." His homeplace is Rardon and went to school in Otway & Rardon. Moved over to Indiana, but still close enough to the IN/OH border to still be considered a "buckeye" (couldn't fully convert him to being a Hoosier...LOL)

wow...i used to live five minutes away from there, i lived in lucasville close to the prison. its a shame you still don't live there i we could get together for a play date.
