Bella hs a problem with human food. we do not feed her human food we put her on the back patio when we eat, but if you eat human snacks later in the evening she will just push her self on you til i get upset. she dont beg its more of a "what is that " kind of thing. I would like to get her to understand that human food/snacks are not for her.
Any advice would be appreciated Thank you

Yeah, she could just be curious. Harley was always so good about that. The only time he begged for anything was if he had somehow had it before, and BELIEVE me, he would always remember a specific food that he had experienced and liked. Or, he would beg from someone that he recalls feeding him in the past. Once he learned how often kids dropped things, he begged from ALL kids. He was very smart about it. One time on a whim, I poured a little chicken broth on his food. He loved it! Well, it was MONTHS before I made chicken noodle soup again and when I did, I couldn't figure out why he was hovering around the kitchen...then it hit me. I couldn't believe that he remembered that one time treat! So, from that point forward, everytime I made chicken noodle soup, he got a little broth on his food :)

I don't know if this would be a correct answer, but my breeder suggested we put her in the crate while we eat. We don't do that, we just have her sit / stay a few feet away and we'll usually give her apple slices, carrots while we're eating supper. :) I'm sure you'll get alot of good advice here...:)

I don't know if we just got lucky or what but Beau goes to his bed whenever the human food comes to the table. You don't even have to say anything he just goes to his bed, stays there until we release him. He then gets a doggie treat.

We started with crating him whenever we ate. Then after teaching him to go to his bed, we started telling him to go to his bed whenever we ate, he quickly caught on that human food at the dinner table = I need to go relax in my bed.

Even if you bring out snacks, he will stand there looking at you, wondering if I should go to my bed. He might just laydown right there, and give you plenty of space.

You can also try the leave it command. If you haven't already taught her this one it works great. Practice using food, so you can tell her that she can't have something. Beau has this obsession with plastic pop bottles. So whenever you are sitting in the living room enjoying your favorite soda drink, he comes and checks the bottle as it sits on the end table. I love the look on his face when I say "leave it". He takes a step back, gives a little whine, looks at you and his eyes say, drink it already... I want to chase that empty bottle around the house a bit and then chew it up.

 Hurricane has the same obssession, and does the exact same thing. He will sit there and whine and stare at you until you have finished the soda, no matter how long it takes, so that he can play with the bottle afterwards!

Hurricane lays down under the table while we are eating. Not that he gets scraps (not from me anyway, but I know DH sneaks him some when I am not looking) but that is where he lays until we are finished. He stays out of the way and doesn't beg so I have just let him be there.
