Is She A Mix?

Lady is small. She weighs about 45 lbs, tops. Well every time we go to the dog park someone always asks me if she is a purebred, because she's awfully small for a boxer. I politely tell them all, yes she is a purebred, papered and everything.

I was wondering what you all think. Take a peek in our gallery, and tell me if you think Lady is a MIX?

Well, I dont think she is a mix. No, definately not. Perhaps she isnt up to top show dog standards (but then, are any dogs?) but she looks 100% boxer to me. And as for being small Tuppys half sister is only 47 pounds, and she is a definate purebred, I think just some lady boxers are a bit more petite then others. By the way, I think she is beautiful.

Hell NO!!! Your baby isn't a mix She looks PURE boxer too me and is absolutely Beautiful, Some Boxers must just be a little smaller, There is a male at our dog park he is 2 years and weighs 55 pounds that is how much my 7 month old male weighs :eek: And he is for sure not a mix also he looks 100% pure Boxer. Some people are sooo STUPID I had somone tell me my dog wasn't a Boxer because he had droopy eyes, LOL I was like ya okay. :rolleyes: (He was teething at the time wich made his lower lids sag more than usual) What did he think my dog was a basset hound?
I have also had somone ask if he was an English Bulldog, So if that isn't proof enough I don't know what is.
Although some people don't know much about Boxers and may have seen a Huge on before and then when they see smaller ones think that they are mixed, because they think back to the 80 pound male they seen at the park a month before *LOL* let's just say some people are clueless.

I personally think your fur baby is "pure bred". I don't want my baby girl HUGE, I kinda hope she is a smaller female. if I want a BIG dog, I will get a male :D I can't tell you how much mine weighs, or will weigh when shes older. she's only 8 weeks old so its hard to say how big she'll end up, but keep your head up, and tell the foolish people that they are wrong, and your dog is pure-boxer-breed :D

She is 100%. People have asked me if Jesse was a miniature boxer. I always tell them there is no such thing. She now weighs 38lbs at 8 months old.

She looks 100% to me. People use to ask me all the time when Cayenne would grow up. She is tiny too. She weighs 55lbs. and is a year 1/2. Now that she is spayed she has been filling out a bit more. She is just a petite girl but all Boxer!!! :D

Purebred definitely. I think the uncropped ears make people ignorant! My Fritzi's ears are uncropped and sometimes I get the same thing - "is she pure boxer?" Wait till they stop cropping the tails - we'll all be swamped with questions :rolleyes:

Absolutely not. She's purebred (not that you would love her any less if she weren't). You've gotta remember that there are a lot of people out there who think they are God's gift to knowledge and know everything about everything. I often ask people, "Hey, what breed is your dog?" because I can't recognize every breed out there and I don't want to assume (I'm always mixing up some of the different terriers). I'd hate to make an idiot of myself and just call dogs by the wrong breed or whatever. But some people (i.e. my father-in-law) just can't seem to help themselves and have to make comments.
