Hello, and thanks for reading this. My wife and I are concerned that our puppy may be eating her own feces. Usually when we get home, Asia has taken at least one doo-doo. But for tha past two days, there was none in the crate when we got home. My wife noticed Asia yesterday playing with her doo-doo on the wee-wee pads. Could she be possibly eating it? I'm sure if she is this cannot be good for her. How would we go about correcting this? Also, just a quick question. Asia's nose isn't always wet. Is this a problem? Like I have said before, she is our first boxer. We had a rottweiler before, and she was quite different. Her nose sometimes is dry on the bridge. Thanks again for all your help. We made an appointment with our vet, but the earliest he can see her is April 1st. She seems to be healthy. She loves to play, she does well in her training and she sleeps a lot, just like any other baby.

Eating feces is not uncommon in dogs. Please do a search using terms "eating feces" and you'll find tons of information and tips on how to control this behavior.

Good luck.

Just curious. Does she mess in her crate? If so, she has too much room. Normally a puppy won't mess where they sleep. Or is it just a crate where she is supposed to do her "thing". Sorry if I misunderstood.

It is her crate to stay while we are at work. It is divided, and she goes no matter how small we make it. We are running out of ideas.

The pet store has a product called Deter. If you give Asia this pill it will make the feces taste really bad to her and she won't eat it anymore. As far as her actually pooping in her crate, I would do a search. There are many threads about that sort of thing. It might even be because of separation anxiety. Good luck!

Your pup is beautiful! I've noticed that Tae's nose is frequently dry. I used to worry about it, but she appears healthy, so I stopped worrying.

Lupita used to eat her own feces, at first we have just noticed a pile or two disappear into thin air and have smelled her poo breath. We were just in denial about it. :D
This behavior is called "coprophagia". However, her doctor told me that often this behavior will just go away when the pup matures. But Lupita was already 5 months and she kept doing it, so he gave me some powder to put on her food called "forbid" I also gave her pieces of papaya and a teaspoon of spinach. And when I catched her on the act, I gave her the command "No, Off", I also always praised her whenever she showed no interest in the feces, and it worked, she is 8 months now, adn she is not eating them anymore. :)

In the mean time, another suggestion I can give you is just keep the pup's porty area as clean as possible :) and smell her breath before kissing her

Good luck
