Yes, a butcher is the best bet. The "green" tripe is what you're after, not the white sort you often see. They actually bleach it to turn it white. Which, I'm sure, makes it more appealing for those people who happen to like tripe, but it's far less nutritious than in the natural state.

It's £17.99 for 25kg there - not sure whether you have that sort of freezer space ;)

Pets at Home in the UK also do a 2kg bag for just under £3. I used to feed Star tripe when she was too thin.

And also it smells really bad :)

My Rocky, who has the opposite problem (loves to eat and gains easily), loves peanut butter in a kong bone....I know that is healthy but also fattening!
