my 9 year old female boxers eye is has turned kind of greyish. its about half of her eye now. it seems to have gotten alot worse in just a weeks time. think shes going blind in that eye? she still notices when i move my hand on that side of her head and shes always rubbing that eye on the carpet or against the couch. is there anything i can do or do i just have to let it take its course. also with her being kind of older is this the start of her having a bunch of health issues. i know shes really not that old compared to the average age. i got her in germany and she was the runt of the litter and has had no health issues at all this far. her head also appers to be getting smaller and also gets pissed when getting close to her hips and wants to sleep all day. thanks for any info.

Take her to the vet. You've mentioned a number of different health issues that should be looked at. Even if they are inevitable "old age" health problems it is entirely possible that they can be lessened with just minor treatment and you can give her a better quality of life into her golden years.

I agree, a vet visit is in order. I'm sure your vet can help you figure out how to keep her as healthy and comfortable as possible while growing old :)

One of my elderly dogs that passed away about 3 years ago had a grayish look to her eyes for the last few years of her life and I was told that it was nuclear sclerosis. It did not noticeably affect her vision it all. Sometimes dogs get cataracts too though that can look quite similar and can cause blindness.
As everyone else said, I would make a trip to the vet where they can properly diagnose what is going on with her eye and also have a peak at her hips and head.

A scratch on her eye can also cause cloudiness and can be treated simply with some eyedrops from the vet. The fact that she is rubbing it leads me to believe that it is uncomfortable and possibly and injury.

I agree. Hope this is all it is.
