Is Layla to good of a mommy?

I got Layla's puppies tails done Monday and she took out all of the stitches so we took them back to the vet and they stitched them again. We watched her like a hawk and when I woke up today I noticed all the stitches gone again. The vet said that we couldn't redo them. I am putting a cream on them to heal and keep out infections but will the tails still be and look okay? She also has been messing with their dewclaw scabs. I don't want to have to bandage these little babies but what else can I do?! Layla is such a good mommy but she is starting to damage her babies in the process.

good, but fussy!

Sounds like she is a great mum, but a little too fussy! I heard other breeders have had this happen to them and some have removed the bitch from the pups. Not completely removed, but only allowed her in with them at feeding times supervised.
I think the first couple of weeks are hard when you have a litter. There is always the worry about what mum is doing to the pups, if anything.....
Good luck with them though. I hope the tail heal up for you.

My Tessie did that too...after the second timg the dr said that ieveryrhing should be ok and not to warry about anything!
