My Brandy

Boxer Pal
Since I have had Brandy, I have pretty much let her have the run of the house. Is it too late to set bounderies with her? (she is about two months old) I dont know where to begin with training her!

No, it's not too late -just be consistent and she will learn! Also, I would enroll her in a puppy kindergarten class as soon as she's had all her shots. That will help a lot too!

I don't think it is too late, I'm sure other would know better, but maybe baricade her is small rooms (dog proofed). Or crate? Don't know which would be the best way to go, I don't think it is ever too late to "teach an old dog new tricks". LOL :)

she's only 8 weeks old. that is when most people get there dogs and start crate training. or to limit where they go. it is much safer for you to crate train. as boxer puppies are very curious.:)

Crate training should be your first place to start, this will help in all of the rest of the training areas....

I definitely would tell you to crate train. I was resistant to it for a long time, because I don't like confining the dogs, but it really is best for them. It helps so much in house training, it also gives them a "secure" safe place that is just theirs, and also, it helps MY peace of mind, I'm not worrying if she's gotten into something that can hurt her, etc. And, it's never TOO late to start training. You just have to be firm and consistent.

I agree that crate training is a wonderful thing. Makes life much easier! Bayleigh also has a safe, quiet place to go when she needs some alone time.

I totaly agree with crate training. You know that they are safe and not getting into everything in your house.
