There is no basis to the rumour that the Swifter Wet Jet kills dogs. It is an Internet hoax. There have been many posts about it.

Antifreeze, window cleaner, windex, car windshield cleaner, etc. - all ARE extremely toxic. So make sure your house is pet and kid-proofed and the nasty stuff is safely up out of reach.

While Swiffer is perfectly safe, if you're really concerned about using chemicals in your home, try plain white vinegar. Works on all hard surfaces, including glass.

Even though Swiffer isn't toxic, just to clarify, the other stuff definitely IS.
