Hi. We are currently fostering a Florida boxer rescue dog who was diagnosed with kennel cough. I know he would feel alot better if he would take the Robitussin cough supressant. Does any body have any ways to administer this to a boy who wants nothing to do with it. He's also on antibiotics, but would love to give him more relief. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Jane,Juan and foster boy Dutch.

Do you think he would lap it up if given the chance? I have mixed things with plain yogurt and Tae has happily lapped them up and licked the bowl clean! ...or is he put off by the taste? If that's the case, I'm not sure what I'd do...maybe mix it with something extra yummy? Peanut butter, if he likes that--though the mixture sounds oh so unappealing to ME!

When Sasha had kennel cough, i went to my pharmacy in the grocery store....and got a plastic syringe (kind of like a kids) that you just squirt into their mouth. Worked like a charm!! Before i wasted a bottle of Robitussin in two days trying to use a spoon!! Hope your baby is better soon!

I use an oral syringe for those who don't like to take liquid meds. Make sure to keep their head parallel to the ground when administering it, if they look up and you squirt too much they can inhale it into their lungs. Good luck!
