Hello Fellow Boxer Lovers!
Just testing out the Introducation board to see how things work around here.
Hello, My name is Eryn. I am currently attending highschool, and see my future as something related to animals (Common: Undecided). I also volenteer at a local animal shelter near me.
I have grown up with animals all my life. This includes the wonderful Boxer. My first Boxer was a puppy named Tyson. Just as bratty, and goofy as I was! He died in 97' from cancer :(. Later on that year, we decided to add another Boxer to our lives. With no Boxer around - Life was DULL! We rescued Ty from a breeder who was threatening to take him to the pound because he was the only puppy our of the litter that chewed up her window, and door - Well i'm sure if I was locked up in a room all day I would try and eat the door, or window down too! - He towered over the rest of the puppies, he was going to be a monster (Large)! She still made us pay a fee for him, but after bonding with the little fellow, we couldn't resisit. Wasn't our first choice, but it happened! LOL. He was actually an excellent puppy, took about a half a week to potty train him, and caught on fast with obedience training. Currently he's 4 years old, a monster, and a total cuddle bug!
We're currently looking for another Boxer, show quality, i'm not interested in breeding, but rather showing. The reason is, we rescued a 3 year old female from Florida Boxer Rescue named Bre, and she was a perfect addition to the family. Ty loved her! They said that they would have to put Bre down if no one took her soon - Because she had incontinence. When we brought her home, within the first week we KNEW that her condition was much worse. Within the first week we fattened her up, and got her used to other people without being nervous, she got along excellent with the 4 year old, and at the same time was a wonderful gaurd dog. We took her to the Vet because she continued to vomit and drink excessively. She did not infact have incontinence, but far worse, she had kidney failure. She died in 00', and ever since then Ty hasn't really been himself.
I look forward to meeting all of the Boxer lovers!
