Introducing Roxy to water ??

Our new home has a huge pond on the property....it is also spring fed so the water is just crystal clear...my GSD and Ozzy love swimming in it...but Roxy will not even get her paws wet....

How is the best way suggested to get her to go in....she dances around and barks at the water....and you can see she does want to go in...but cannot bring herself to do so...and I don't want to just put her in....as she may fear the water from that day forward....

Any suggestions welcome !!

Dillon never would go in except his toes....

Dillon wouldn't go in the water at all. We recently took him to a man made lake by our house and my husband waded out to his knees to see if Dillon would go with him. He followed very tenderly, but scared. Chris put his hands on him to comfort him and walked him to the ledge where the drop off was knowing he wouldn't be able to touch and willing to go in with him if he couldn't figure it out. He gave him a gentle nudge and he immediately started to swim. Then Chris would throw his ball out for him just a few feet and he would swim to it and come back. He just kept increasing the distance a little at a time. Now he will swim way out to the middle of the lake. The only thing that we have noticed though is because of the short muzzle on the boxers, if you are going to have them retreive something, we wouldn't suggest a tennis ball because they have to keep their mouth open so wide to hold it that they come in having swallowed a lot of water. We found a water toy at petsmart that is small and shaped like a barbell with ropes on the sides. This is the perfect fit for his mouth and no more worrying about him coming back and coughing up water. He loves it now. Just needed a little nudge!
