The inside of tysons ears are a little red. Is this somehing I should take tyson to the vet for, or just monitor it to see if it gets worse. Ive noticed it for about a week now.

Probably best to see a vet. If his ears are red, it may well be some form of infection he has going on there (yeast, mites or bacteria). None of those would clear up without help, and they'd be pretty uncomfortable for the dog so better addressed early than allowed to get worse. Is he scratching at all?

This may sound strange but do the ears have a smell to them. Our first boxer always had irritated ears that were red and smelled. Sometimes they were infected and had to be treated by the vet. Other times I would take a flash light and hold the ears open and clean them with an ear swab and she would be good as new the next day. The vet said because Zoe had floppy ears moisture formed in them sometimes causing an infection. However I would go to the vet just to be sure.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing about Samson. His ears are red and dry. He shakes his head alot and is scratching at his ears. I am unable to see any build up, like earmites, but I believe that is what it is. He is 10 months old so this is his first winter with us. I am awaiting a call back from the vet to see what she thinks.
