Inside Edition on B. Spear's New Puppy

So was anyone just watching Inside Edition?? they had a story about Britney Spears buying a pet Chihuahua (Spelling?)... thats fine, but they stated matter a factually "Britney fell in love with the 4 WEEK old puppy and bought it" from a pet store in CA. 4 Weeks old!!!!

I seriously hope that they were mistaken, but having a largely watched show like that make it seem like its common for people to be buying ANY puppy from a pet store (first of all making that seem OK) in addition to the fact that it is 4 weeks old is horrible!


This world needs a major wake up call in regards to the proper breeding and care of dogs!!!!

I had Inside Edition on, too, but only caught that Britney was getting a Chihuahua (or had bought one already). I did not hear that is was four weeks old. How awful. My only thought when I heard about the pup was "I bet she gets tired of it and her 'staff' ends up caring for the pup." That's the same view I have when it comes to her marriage to Kevin Federline. I hate to be negative, but I sure as heck doubt it will last!!!

So true Becky, both the dog and the guy will probably be gone in 6 months. People like that who others look up to should try to set an example, and that's a poor excuse for one if you ask me. Anywho- now everybody will want to run to the puppy store to buy puppies just like her :rollseyes: All I can say is at least she didnt get a boxer b/c she wouldn't spend the time babying it and doesn't deserve good boxer luvin!!

Just because someone is "famous" doesn't mean they have any sense, or should be adulated or imitated for any reason. Ms. Spears is someone, to me, who has completely manufactured an identity for $$. I doubt she will be any more loyal to this puppy than she would be to any of those in her large cadre of sychophants.

I agree with everyone's comments. Maybe Mr. Federline will take the pup with him on his way out the door! His kids might enjoy having a puppy to play with...

im not a britney spears freak, i don't even really like her, but i think right now she is doing what is right for her at her point in life. in her so called 'letters of truth' posted on her website she said she is settling down and just enjoying being a wife and soon hopes to become a mother. she also said that she is going to sit back and watch the other overrated blondes show up on the covers of magazines and that she had a manager (or publicist or someone, whoever it was, she just recently "let them go") that was doing things for their best interest and not hers and she was pressured into them because she was so young - other people completely manafactured her to make money for themselves, while in the process she, of course, made her millions. the only reason i know these things is because i have a very theatrical family (i have a 13 year old cousin and a 22 year old friend who were totally exploited for their voice (cousin) and body (my friend is a model), and even though they made money, it was gone about in the wrong way, just like b spears) and my best friend is a total gossip ...

okay i sound like a crazed teeny bopper now, but really, i have always been known to see both sides (if it isn't something crazy far-fetched) ...

i mean look at paris hilton, tinkerbell goes all over the world in her louis vuitton carrier and shows off her personalized harry winston diamond encrusted collar. paris hilton is by no means the smartest person in the block, but she is most definitley an animal lover.

just because britney spears may not make all of the right choices in front of the camera doesn't mean that she doesn't care for and love the people and animals around her ...

...hopefully the puppy wasn't four weeks old, but who knows with people nowadays...

well...she IS a twit. And i Dont think the main problem was that she was gettin a dog. I think it was that the poor thing was supposed to only be 4weeks old

if you don't know someone personally, i wouldn't call them a twit...maybe thats just out of character for me, but no matter who people are, i like to try and respect them...she has done nothing that i just can't stand to a point of disrespecting her - she's wild ... what 22 year old entertainer with millions of dollars wouldn't be?

the problem is that the dog was four months old, but the comments on how she shouldn't have a dog and the reasoning behind those comments are what i found to be disturbing...

btw Shanz, your 'Cuddle Bug' pictures is soooooo cute! i love it when Asia lays on me like that - don't they just make you feel so loved! :D
