The other day I found out ty's new game he loves. I was using a flashlight and I noticed ty was doing his chest to the floor butt in the air thing. All of a sudden he dove at the light circle. Not the flashlight itself, but the circle of light on the floor! I could not stop laughing! So for the next 15 minutes he chased the light around the house, full speed. He almost ran into the doors and walls. Well the weather in boston is lousy today so we have been playing with the light for awhile. Anybody have games they do when the weather is bad?

Cody also loved that! I haven't tried it with Duke yet.

Duke likes when I throw his ball upstairs from the family room. We have an open loft and I throw the ball over the railing. He runs up, skipping steps two at a time, finds the ball and then looks through the spindles at me...too cute.

watering hose also for outside

I have never done that but I was outside once watering my plants with the hose with a sprayer attachment on it and Roxy would follow the stream of water where ever I pointed it. She was all over the yard and jumping so high in the air just to get the water. We ran in and got the video camera. It was great. Now everytime I get the hose out she is SOAKED. I will have to try the flashlight thing. I am sure they will like it.

I know your doggie loves the "light game", but be careful..... I was watching the Dog Whisperer and there was this dog who turned into a freak when he saw any kind of light movement! I would hate your dog to turn into an obssesive compulsive canine! That poor dog was seriously Looney for the light.

We used to play with one of those laser pointers with Ray. He loves to chase it around, but I agree with Lindsay, he started to get really obsessed. If we just wiggled our hand as if to point the laser, he started looking for the light. He sometimes has a bit of a seizure of sorts if he gets over excited, so we don't play that game anymore. Sugar isn't much into games she just follows along behind Ray, but Ray loves to play hide and go seek. Ppl would prob think we are nuts if they watch us, but one of us makes Ray sit, while the other hides. Then it's a whistle to let him know to find us. He will keep looking until he has found you. Otherwise we hide his tennis ball, he will also hunt the whole place down till he finds it.

Hide and Seek

Zen and I play hide and seek. I will tell him to sit and stay and then I'll find a place to hide. Once I've found a place I'll yell out "Zen, where's Mummy??!!" and then he's on his way to try and find me. My husband has watched us play many times and thinks it's hilarious. Zen won't stop until he has found me and when he does it's like some kind of fantastic reunion!! Boxers have so much enthusiasm for everything. Sometimes Zen will follow me around the house and then I'll quickly hide around a corner and wait til he follows- and then jump out and surprise him. He loves it! I think that's why we love having a Boxer so much-he has a great sense of humour and is always up for a laugh.

Our cat has a toy called DA'BIRD. It sorta resembles a fishing pole, with a feather thing on the end attached by a long string. Cami lovessss this. She would literally bounce around after this for hours if we let her. Some of the ways that she contorts her body while trying to get at this is unbelievable. It will tire her out more than anything else. Funny to watch also.

BUBBLES!! All I have to say is that one word and both dog and cat come running waiting for me to blow bubbles. It's a cheap toy and keeps them busy for long periods of time. When I have a fan in the room I will just dip the wand into the bubbles and put it in front of the fan and it makes my job alot easier.
