I've tried to search this topic on a few boards, but I'm not finding anything. If I missed it, please direct me to the correct place.
I'm looking for any Holistic options for treating Indolent Ulcers. Bella was diagnosed with one almost two weeks ago. We tried the plasma, antibiotic drops, along with the lovely "satellite dish." There was no improvement so we went to the ophthalmologist and he did the kerototomy (sp?). Bella is miserable. I would be too. She's on the pain eye drops, another eye drop, eye ointment and Doxy. Plus, she takes thyrosin everyday.
Any herbs or anything that would help with healing or even the pain? She has little to no appetite. It makes me so sad to see her in such discomfort.
Sidenote: I have fed raw since around 2004. I switched back to kibble because I've been trying to exercise and cook more for myself and it was just not easy to get to the store as much as I was. Bella and Ory never had medical problems. I got snide looks and remarks at the vet, but they never found a thing wrong with my pups. Not even three months since switching to kibble, Bella gets this ulcer. I'm trying to do some research on that as well to see if they can somehow be related. Lowering her immune system? Or something.
Anyway, thank you for reading.
