We want to get a dog for our family next year and I have been reading and researching for at least the past year. I didn't have a particular opinion about boxers, but then I met one! A beautiful fawn 6 month old. She looked at me and I absolutely fell in love! There was such intelligence and personality in those eyes and face! I now have met quite a few, and the boxer is now at the top of my list, I just have a few questions and this seems like a great place to get them answered!

hi and welcome so glad your getting a boxer there so wonderfull when i first got sasha my mom was like omg you cant have a big dog like that around those babies my skin babies,now when she calls to ask about the boys she says whats sasha been doing 
and now she babysits her to shes a big part of the family as we'll,ill never own another but boxers there great:D jenn and sasha

Boxer Insane
A Boxer is a must-have as far as I am concerned! I got my Boxer girl only 4 weeks ago and she is so wonderful! I want another so badly, and the women with the rescue group (non-Boxer) told me she got a call about a 3yo whose mommy has decided she doesn't have time for her :confused: If I had a bigger place she'd be mine in a second (though, I actually think I need a male due to Ms. Tae's personality).

Hi and Welcome. I just wanted to say be careful with boxers, they are like potato chips....you can't have just one!! I had 3 dogs over the past 15 years before we got our boxer (2 labs, one black and one chocolate and a lhasa apso and still have the black lab and lhasa). I too researched a long time about the boxer before owning one and couldn't understand how they could possibly be so different from any other dog, but I can assure you they are their own unique breed. They are the dog for the ultimate dog lover.
My husband wants very badly to add another boxer to our family, but I can't imagine 4 dogs!! Though I am quite certain that when the time does come, we will be adding another boxer.
