Impacted Hair???

Took Sable to the vet the other day reference a bump on her chest area. The vet says it looks as if it is an impacted hair, but will not be able to tell for sure until some more time passes (based on if it gets amy larger, etc.). It is about a 1/4 inch across and looks like a pink mole. It is on the surface of her skin, and not underdeath. If anyone has experienced something like this or may know of any remedies please post. Thanks in advance.

Mack's first "bump" was on his foot and looked like a pink wart - it was a histiocytoma (sp?).
But he has had 4 or 5 mast cell tumors (grade 1) and they also were pink and warty looking.
Keep your eye on it and remove it if there's any question - Boxers and lumpie/bumpies are a concern.
