No Heartworms!!!!! The heartworm test came back negative. We're so relieved. Thank you guys for your help and support. I went ahead and had the vet do a complete CBC and physical. He said that she was running fever and had a little bacterial infection. He said it wasn't kennel cough but similar. He gave us meds for the cough and a antibiotic for the infection. Once again thanks.

Since you got the heartworm test done, again I'd HIGHLY recommend getting the preventative. If you go to Drs. Foster and Smith online Heartgard Plus only runs around $6 a month.

my father and I were talking and we were talking about the dogs and he was telling me that Jake(his 100lb) lab would pull Hurley around the yard by her collar like a rag doll. And he had to go find her collar twice cause he pulled it off. Could he have hurt her throat??

Just wanted to add that, yes, playing like that can hurt her throat. Maybe in the future let them play without the collar on.
