CHESTER

just recently, actually today. I noticed Chester is having problems walking down the stairs. He now takes one step at a time, steps down with one paw than the other, and repeat dow nteh stairs. It seems like only last week he was flying up and down them.
My friend is 10 yrs old, has a heavily greyed(silver) face, that used to be a jet black mask. He doesnt seem to struggle as much going up them but coming down them hurts me to the extreme to watch him.
I write this and my eyes are welling up with tears, he's been my best friend in the world for 10 yrs and I dont know how to help him. Can you guys offer any advice for me. I know hes older but i dont think i was ready to see him struggle down stairs like this.

Try not to worry too much, I know that is easier said than done though. My vet recommended giving Rocky Glucosamine supplements. Have you tried this? You should ask your vet about it, when they get older, it can be good for their joints, ect. Rocky and I are sending healing vibes your way!!!

Ty and I are sending Chester lots of healing vibes! Maybe your vet can offer some solutions for your baby to help him with the stairs. Please keep us posted.

I have 13 yr old who can't walk at all anymore so I can relate. If he was acting normal last week maybe he has a strain or injury. Maybe have the vet check him out. He may just need some pain pills for a few days or so. With age comes all the typical aches and pains humans get. Suggest start researching supplements and diet changes for age related issues (Arthritis, eye site etc.)

Because he is getting older he might be getting arthritus. My cat had this and couldn't really jump up on too much stuff anymore.

Poor Chester :( I can sympathize with you as my Pooh is 8 years old.We went to the vet on Tuesday for her checkup.she has been limping around also, having trouble going up and down stairs, typical as they age problems. She has also been on a diet to lose some weight as she was a bit on the heavy side, which doesn't help arthritis either. He put her on Rimadyl and I have her on Glucosamine/chondritin supplements-1500 mg daily. But I'm also looking into more natural supplementation for her.
I know what you mean about watching them get older.Today is her birthday actually and I've been going through her pictures, wondering where all the years went in such a hurry, her black mask is mostly silver,

Sending Chester lots of healing vibes from me and sloppy kisses from the kids.Keep us posted on he's doing.
