Illinois, So when is the next bash???

To Dan: Aww I'm so sorry things didn't go well for Sapphire :( I was so looking forward to meet her - I love reverse brindles and have only ever seen a reverse brindle puppy before. I don't know what happened but everyone did tell me that Sapphire was fine with the other Boxers. Maybe if someone has a yard big enough we can get together at their house sometime - Boxers only!

To Lindsay: That really sucks :( I would've been really mad too! We were wondering where you were but figured you'd changed plans. Well don't worry, there will be other bashes to come and hopefully your car will be running well enough to make it to the next one

There ended up being 6 Boxers total - 2 were not from BW and one of them had an undocked tail! She was 4 years old so Sapphire would not have been the "old fart" hehe. The other one who wasn't from BW was a gorgeous flashy fawn male named Rocco, who was one year old. He got there after Guiness and Niko already left.

I'll be posting some pictures for everyone to see.

To everyone else: Wilson had a great time and the minute he walked through the door he went and collapsed into his crate . I hope we can do this again soon, if the weather allows it! :p

Wow. that's the best turn-out I've heard of so far with an IL boxer bash! Hopefully we'll be able to get together again before it's too cold out. Well, at least I got all of my laundry done, (ha!) it's was really starting to pile up! Hope to see you all soon!

Maybe this Sunday?

I just checked the weather report and it says sunny and 64 for this Sunday - any takers? The park in Plainfield would work fine for us! I don't know how many decent days there are left in the season so we should take advantage of them while we can! Since it's Halloween, I was thinking a little earlier in the day, I don't know if some of you might have kids, (or even dogs!) to get ready for trick or treating. Let me know what you think! Any time is fine for us!

I read that it's supposed to be pretty crappy out on Saturday - rainy. If no one else is going to meet at the one in Plainfield, I'll probably just go to the one in Naperville again, on Greene Road. It's a really nice park and there is usually a boxer or two there! Let me know if any of you would like to get together though!

Hi guys! Madalynn had such a GREAT TIME! Sorry that I haven't e-mailed you the photo's Val..., I am in Austin, TX now. I will be here for 2 weeks. Then when I fly back 2 dyas later I have got to go to Atlanta. I do not think that I will be able to make any of the Boxer Bashes soon. It was really nice meeting all of you.~B

I would love to go!!!

Roxy and I would love go. Roxy is 3 months old so I am not sure if she is still too young to go. She has been around my in-laws dogs (shit-zus) and she absolutely loves playing with them. I think that having her around other dogs also teaches her some manners on how to act. I live in Oswego, so Plainfield or Naperville would work out for me. I am pretty new to the website and I was so excited to see this!!!

Welcome Roxy84! Roxy should be ok going. It's usually advised that you don't bring your pup to a dog park till they've had all their shots, including rabies. Wilson is due for his rabies this week (we changed vets so they started his set of shots from the beginning, even though he'd had 2 sets already). I've only taken Wilson to the park twice because it was for the Boxer bashes and I couldn't resist going . Just be careful and don't take her too many times yet.
