Illinois, So when is the next bash???

ok everyone, i went to the park today and no permit is needed. only thing is you will need to bring water for your furbaby, i didnt see a fountain there. met another boxer there today, 11 weeks old, plain fawn named lucy. lucy and her owner will be there too..

Well I am going to try and make it by 12. Saphhire and I should be there for sure, my wife is a maybe as she is 3 months pregnant and has those tired spells. We'll be in a green Expedition.

I plan on leaving around 10:45 - 11 am tomrrow. Can someone let me know what the weather is like before that, because if it is raining I am not going to drive for an hr just to turn around.

I'll be there too! I'm bringing Bufords sister, Maisy and her owner Scott. So you can count on 2 more boxers!

I finally got my general manager to ok my letting somebody pick up my shift, so we're going to be there!! I am trying to get one of Wilson's littermates to come also (I was approached by a lady outside petsmart wanting to pet Wilson saying she has a Boxer also, and by coincidence we found out we got them from the same breeder (who is like an hr away)! What are the odds?? I even asked Wilson's trainer (who is Boxer crazy and has 2 of her own) to join us. So fingers crossed, the more the merrier! :p

P'd Off

UGH!! It's such a gorgeous day for a get-together! I got in the car with Buford and got onto 30 and my car died at a red light in the left hand lane!! I had to have dh come get us and take us home. So now, instead of enjoying this beautiful day with a bunch of boxers, we're at home doing laundry. Boooooo. The worst part is that dh, (and I think we all know which "d" the "d" in "dh" is standing for) was supposed to get me a new battery about 3 months ago! My car died at work on Tues and had had to come get me, and pretty much everyday since then, I have needed a jump to get going! Wouldn't it be much less of a hassle if he would have just gotten the f-ing battery in the first place??!!? Sorry - just SO ANNOYED! I would have gotten it myself but he keeps saying that he can get me a much better one cheaper someplace else. At this point I don't care how much it costs, I just want a freakin car that runs!! So - when's the next get together? We're sad that we're missing out on this one!

Well it was nice seeing all the cute boxers that were there, for the short time we were. I keep forgetting that we've only had Sapphire for 2 months. I thought it was 3 already. The little run in with the little white dog I will associate to mistaken identity. My buddy down the street had a bischone and that is how Sapphire plays with her. I had a short chat with the owner before he left and he was cool with it. His poor little dog has been attacked 3 times. That's why we sat out for so long.

The German Shepard incident I don't blame on Sapphire though, the shepard kept on with Sapphire after she started to run away. The shepard yelped when Saphhire gave her a "right hook".

Now the old man......I bit my tongue with him. First he thought he threw me out of the park! I left just like the rules stated you were supposed to and I didn't bring Sapphire back until the owner had left. I am just going to keep my mouth shut as I have more to say but don't want to embarass my wife or myself.

Now I see what the whole mistaken identity issue is like. The German Shepard lady thinking Sapphire was a Pit Bull. Well this whole day was very discouraging, atleast she played nice with the other boxers that were there. That all were very cute!!!! If Sapphire is going to play with other dogs again I think it is going to only be with boxers and not at a dog park. Sorry we didn't get to stay.

Well now that I have calmed down, I apologize for my above rant. My wife, who's pregnant, cried on the way home because Sapphire looked depressed. She is just moping around at home. I guess I am just frustrated and discouraged now. I still don't feel that we will be back to a dog park again though. Sorry we didn't get to stay longer though. Sapphire even though she is only 2 looked like she was the old fart of the group.
