Yes, I have been to Wiggly field - mostly when she was a puppy. It's OK but I don't like how it's all concrete, + it's not the biggest piece of land in the world.
The one up by Wilson and LSD is called Montrose Beach. That is a good one, used to go there all the time but last year that is when my boxer girl got in a viscious dog fight with this giant black schnauzer type dog. I go there at times when it's not too crowded.
It's more ideal when I go somewhere where there's just a few other dogs (hopefully males) and I can properly introduce them. Then she'll run with them all day w/no problem. I have to watch every move when the place is packed, those dog fights are scary.
I have been taking her to Hamlin Park (the dog park part of it isn't that good) but they have 4 baseball diamonds there. Problem is it's a school zone, and they are supposed to be leashed. A lot of people have been bringing their dogs there during non-school hours -early morning usually like 6am. Some guy called the cops on me a couple weeks ago when no one else was even at the park. Now they have a cop car parked outside there every morning.
I'd love to find a place relatively close to home that is nice and big and not too crowded... not necessarily a dog park - maybe it's wishful thinking living in the city - but some people actually have nice sized yards. I have no yard...
