Central IL

I noticed that most who responded to this message are in the Chicago area but does anyone ever get together in the Central IL area. Chicago is almost 3 hours for me and thats quite a drive!!

Do you know of any parks in our area that don't require a permit? All of the parks in DuPage are awsome and huge but the permit is really pricey since I'm Kane County.

I Thought that small one we went to didn't need one, that was ok...well as long as we're the only ones again...heehee...we tend to take over anyway...

Do you mean Van Horne? I was just checking up on parks and found that Will County permits are only $50 for an out-of-county permit and they have some very nice parks. Van Horne is okay but there are some much much larger parks around here that have ponds and such. It's dirty, but Buford loooves splashing around in the water. I can't believe DuPage County - they charge you up the a$$! It's over $200 to get permits for my dogs for the year!! So I'm looking elsewhere. If I have too, I guess I'll just take him to Van Horne though.

I guess it was Van Horne, it wasn't bad...not huge but free. we're in Cook so we'd have to get an out of county permit too...Anyone have a date in mind???
