I want another boxer!

I've had Sarge since February-March and we love him! He's so funny and fun! Well I'm always looking for boxers on coastalboxers where I was looking when Sarge came into our lives. I have found a few that im interested in, but we live in a 2 bedroom townhouse, have 2 cats and a 19 month old baby girl. I guess I will have to wait till we get a single family house. I would love to get Sarge a brother or sister. he loves to play with other dogs and it makes me so happy seeing him play!

I have a 950 sq. ft. house.......we, me and the dogs live on the first floor. Daughter has the dormer attic. I think it's cozy. LOL I couldn't make the house bigger, so I keep adding more living space outside with their fenced in yard and my patio. If I ever feel walled in, we just go outside for some space. LOL

But for you.......may be better to wait for the larger place. You may be comfortable with all of you in that apt........but the neighbors may not be with two battling, growling, playful boxers.

I've had my boy since January of this year and I too have the urge to get another one. Money wise we aren't able to afford another one and we don't have a big house either but I know I wouldn't mind. Someday, maybe I'll be able to get another one. This is the first dog I've ever owned and man has it been great and we haven't even had him a year yet. And I have to say I can't see owning any breed other than a boxer!

So true. I have two that stay under mine or DH feet all the times. If we are sitting down or laying down than they are on top of us. I can't see that they take up any space at all.....except of course the space I am in .
But I do have to sweep alot more often since Aniah came than I had to when it was just Cody.

our girl is 6mons old and i want to get her a br or sis to keep her company. but hubby says no, he's retired and i work and she is a handfull for him at times. but i sure would love another one. what would you suggest a male or another female?
because i really want another one.

I would suggest a male. From everything I hear and from what I've experianced the male/female combo is the best. And my two get a lot of hard playing done with each other. They wear out that huge energy drive and leave us with two regular energy dogs. And we all know a tired boxer is a happy boxer.

If you you can make it work I would get another. The added quality of life it will give to your other Boxer is huge! I had Kaia for a year before getting Boomer and I can see how much she loves having Boxer brother to play with.

I'm not too sure I could deal with 2 of them in the house. I'm just getting used to having a dog in the house period and she actually started out going to be an outside dog. The Texas heat is just a bit much though so we compromised and keep her inside. What I do have the benefit of is there must be about a half dozen or so other boxers up and down my street. Also that my parents have a 2 yr old boxer and mine being 4.5 months now they have an absolute blast together, even though they are both females. My mom keeps halo for me during the day 3 days a week so she doesn't have to be crated all day as young as she is. She says Halo and Sadi are playing all day long with each other. This does make it nice for me because she's all tuckered out by the time I get home to pick her up. She just wants to eat and nap by 5:30. 2 boxers together is definitely a site though. They play so well together!

I have had Jonah for about 3 weeks. And he is my first boxer. I am going to pick up a sister for him this weekend! And I am so excited. I can't imagine living without at least one boxer ever again. I am just waiting for the fun to never end!
