I this normal?

Sadie is 6 mos old and for some reason she sheding alot. when you pet her you get hair all over. even if she sits for a minute there is a bunch of hair. i have not changed the food but is this the reason?

It might be just summer shedding but it does sound odd. If it doesn't stop I would get it checked to be on the safe side, but I'm no expert.

I have been told that boxers shed a lot if they are stressed or anxious. I also believe their diet can have an affect on the amount they shed as well. Brushing once a day can help too!! I myself find that I am cleaning a lot of Molly's hair around the house!!!

What are you feeding? Boxers do shed but if its alot and all of the sudden it may have to do with diet or other reasons.

I wouldn't worry unless there are bald spots or something extreme like that. I remember both my pups shedding like crazy between about 6 months and 8 months. I’m no expert but I do remember reading about puppies blowing out their puppy coats. Mine are a year now & they always shed a little but nothing like they did back then.

I suspect she is blowing her puppy coat. As long as everything else is normal don't worry too much.

I would tend to think it's just the end of summer shedding. What part of Ca. are you in? We are in So. Cal and it has been so hot both of mine were losing hair like mad. It finally seems to be slowing down.
