So, Zoey is 7 weeks old and I think crate-training is going in the right direction. Today I heard her crying and scratching at the backdoor so I quickly ran and let her outside... so she pooped and ran back in!!! We all made a big deal about it and praised her. buuut... I noticed she'll only cry to go outside when she needs to poopie, and she hasnt learned that shes suppose to pee pee outside as well. haha.. but at least I know we're getting somewhere. Oh yeah, and I noticed she does what you guys call the woo woo song at night when shes in her crate... lol I put in some of my old pajama pants and that helps her sleep a lot better at night, and luckily she sleeps threw the whole night.

WOW!!! Way to go Zoey appicon 7 weeks is very very young and to let you know she has to go potty....that is absolutely fantastik. It will take some time for Zoey to be completely house trained, my two were probably 4 months old and even that's pretty young.

Continue to take her outside to potty on a leash and she'll get the hang of it.

Also, I can't believe she sleeps through the whole night!! Does she not get up even once to go potty? I know some people set an alarm to take thier pups outside for potty. Mine always woke me up through the night so I didn't have to worry about that.

Keep up the good work Zoey ;)

Wow, sounds alot like our Nikita! We brought her home at 8 wks. I can honestly tell you she has NEVER woken up during the night and actually my husband jokes shes exactly like me, you can't get her out of bed in the morning. She also did all her poops outside, and has a pee accident in the house maybe once every few days. You know, take advantage of how intelligent she is and teach her lots of tricks. Alot of people that meet Nikita cannot believe what she can do for her age. Keep up the good work with Zoey!

Cain did great

Cain arrived at our house at 7weeks old. Right from the start I would take him outside on a leash every 20min. As soon as he would get up from a nap and as soon as we were outside I would say go potty. after about 2 weeks we would go about 40min. Then he would ring the bell on his own. Next thing we knew he was potty trained at about 10weeks. He's had a couple of accidents. but the one day it was really cold and he did not want to go out. But he's getting bigger so now he can handle the extreme cold a bit better. He has been sleeping thru the night form about 11pm to 730 since about 8weeks. I think having a older "brother" in the house helped us a lot. I also think that cain is super intelligent eager to please and eager to learn. We got very lucky with our boxer, This is our 1st puppy(we rescued our lab at 14mths) and I'm ready for another boxer. This has been a wonderful experience for our family.
