I don't think Juno is defective, just normal for a young boxer. Markus could wear out about 3 dogs and still be raring to go. We used to joke that he wasn't sleeping he was just recharging. By the time we would get home from the dog park, 30-45 min, he would be recharged and ready to go again.

 I had to laugh as it does sound like a young boxer to me. Like Jan, Monty would be raring to go at the drop of a pin. Even when he slept he was never still !

I think there was only once in the two years we have had Sydney she has taken a more than 5 minute rest. We went on a hunting trip for about 5 days and she ran and ran and ran for 5 days straight. When we got home she slept the entire next day and then was back to normal! But yeah usually a 2-5 minute rest and she is ready to go all over again!

Our boy is the same way. He pretty much just goes off the energy in the house. If everyone is quiet and relaxing.. he's sleeping. If the kids start getting a little nutty.. he's right there with them. But take the last two weeks for example.. we've had A LOT going on and he really hasn't had as much exercise as usual and has spent quite a bit of time in the house and it's like he could care less. He either sleeps or he'll entertain himself with his own toys. He gets a little over the top when hubby comes home from work and bothers him a little but other then that he just goes with the flow. He's been like this since the day we got him. I couldn't imagine him being in your face and begging to be played with or anything like that. When he's playing with other dogs or like stated above when people come over he's a bit different but at home with the family he's just a laid back boxer boy. :)

Cain is exactly like this too. So laid back and calm, just as happy snuggled up to us on the couch as he is playing with his toys, or playing with Sugar outside.

My mom has his sister and she is just like the others on here. The only time she is calm, is when it raining and she won't go outside (she hates getting wet). I kinda like having the calm boxer, lol

Hehe, it's just so odd to me because I've worn her out with much less exercise! I'm hoping the day comes when she finally mellows out.... if it ever comes, lol. I'm much more used to our previous boxer's personality--she never asked for exercise or playtime, as long as she was with "her" people she was happy, regardless of how boring we were.

It does seem like the older she gets, the harder it gets to tire her out. I remember the days when 1 or 2 hours at the dog park would wear her out for an entire weekend. Those days were nice. :)
