7 months, 26 1/2 in, and 75.5 lbs. Still looks thin too me, and hasn't filled out much

Is he a boxer or a calf? He is going to be huge when he is about 2 1/2 yrs and filled out!!!! What am I saying, he is huge now! Cisco is 11 months and about 60-63 lbs.

I got Charlie Paper when he was 1 1/2 years, and he was super skinny. Granted, he did come froma shelter, so most dogs loose weight. But Charlie didn't really fill out until this past October. He's not real big, and only weighs about 63lbs, but he is solid muscle.

Guinness sounds like a peanut compared to him! He's 10 months and 50 lbs, he's all muscle too. His mom was about 55# and his dad was around 75#

Heey that happens to me all the time. Compared to my mils dog Bustis a pip squeak. But some times I see a friends little dog and Buster is a dane!

Is he big is he small? just cant tell!

Kreg it didn't hit me until he was next to Maisy. we got him at 9 week, and we try to goto the vet every month just to check his weight. Best I can remember it looks like this.
9 weeks - 20 lbs
12 weeks - 29 lbs
16 weeks - 51 lbs
5 months - 66 lbs
6 months - 74.6 lbs
right around 7 months - 75.5 lbs.
the only picture of him I have posted is from early November so maybe 10 weeks. He's slowed down on adding weight over the last few months. I guess he just hit a growth spurt really young.

That is amazing, Im speechless Bust is almost 2 and 72 pounds.

Yes, that is an enormously big puppy. An adult male boxer "should" be between 23-25" tall and weigh around 65-70lb. Diesel is well past that at just 7 months, so he is going to be a very big boxer indeed.

As for whether he has grown too fast for himself, I wouldn't necessarily assume so - it could just be that he's destined to be closer to a bull-mastiff in size than to a standard boxer, and is growing accordingly. Or it could be that he's topped out at a very early age and won't grow much more. Either way, as long as his vet is happy with him, I wouldn't worry about it.

It is good that he is thin though and you should try to keep him that way. The worst enemy of a growing puppy is excess weight and overnutrition to put stress on developing bones and joints. His growth plates won't close and harden until about 18 months of age, so you'll also need to be careful about exercise up until that age (avoid repetitive or continuous exercise - just let him play).

They grow so fast

I didn't realize how big Jake had gotten til the other night he and I were sitting on the couch watching Rodney. He was laying at the opposite end of the couch and began to stretch out. My Gosh, that dog pushed me plum off into the floor. He took up the entire couch. Jake is 13/14 months old and I bet he weighs over 70lbs. His legs are really long. You can tell he's still growing by looking at his paws, they are still big for his body right now.
