My one year and almost 2 month old baby is in bad trouble with my dad. Today he tore up a bag of cement that was in the garage and tonight he went and tee-teed on my parents comforter right in front of my dad!!! This is the third time he has pottied in there room and each time we put him in time out and he seems to understand that he is in trouble but he keeps doing it. I clean there carpets very well with a carpet vaccuum thing and I just don't understand why he keeps doing this?? He has been potty trained since December I just dont' understand. My dad is threatening to get rid of him if things don't change and I would die without my baby boy. I don't know if he was upset or mad and did that (cause I know that they get mad if they do not get all of the attention they want and will let you know it) but I mean does he have to do this?? I just need some help PLEASE!!! Thank yoU!!!!!!

Has he been doing that only recently? You might want to take him to the vet to rule out an urinary infection. My boy suddenly pee on our bed a couple of weeks ago and we discovered he had an infection. Also you will need to use "Nature's Miracle Stain & Odor Remover" to clean the area. They usually sell that at the pet store.

Thank you for your response. He doesn't do it all the time. the last time he did it was about a month ago. And before he came in and did that he had been outside playing and running around for like 30 minutes and he hasn't been pottying in other parts of the house either so I really don't think it is a infection.

With our dog, even after she knew that she was supposed to go potty outside would everyonce in a while pee on the carpet. We were told in our training classes to take her by the coller and let he smell the pee. Then point at it and say "this is bad" or "this is no, you potty outside". We only had to do it about three times and she learned to go potty outside. Now anytime she needs to go out she will look at us and run to the door and nudge the door knob with her nose.

Is your dog neutered???
I ask this because he is displaying classic domination symptoms.

I have a male who often used to pee on my side of the quilt! Why? Guess its a doggie way of saying "I am strong and important. I will mark this property of my mistresses to tell her so!"

Its quite likely the dog feels the tension or imagined "threat" from your Dad and is acting upon that.
Dogs are very intuitive and cunning and he sounds like hes got attitude.
Even a quiet dog can have a LOT of attitude and dominant carachteristics.

I suggest keeping the bedroom door shut.
Or if you really want a long term solution teach him the Rules.
Refusing him entry and rewarding him if he keeps away from the door.
Try keeping him on a long leash and when he gets near the bedroom door say NO! very sternly and pull him away.
As soon as he learns this with just the NO! give him a treat.
As for the garage and torn up cement?
. Also shut the doors or try training him from that area also.

If hes inside you will have to be very vigilant that he dosnt sneak into the room.
If you do catch him act calm and say sternly OUT!
Its amazing how young they learn No and OUT!
