I Miss My Boys!

I went to my parents over the holiday, from 24th- 26th, and I had to put my boys in the country club. I could have taken them with me to my parents...but they wouldn't have allowed them in the house, and that just would not do! I've called a couple of times and checked on them, and they are doing great, eating well. This is the 1st nite in our new place that I've ever spent without them. And as a matter of fact, I haven't been separated from them since 2001 (except when Herkie was hospitalized, and Kuma's incident). So, it has really been killing me! I am suffering from separation anxiety!

When I pulled up to drop them off, a man came out to greet me..said "Hercules, Hercules, Hercules!" and Herkie jumped out the car window into the man's arms...and never gave me a second glance! He broke his Mama's heart.

I go pick them up in the morning...and I can't wait...I don't know how I'll be able to sleep without them tonight.

Oh poor you. At least you know they are happy at the boarding kennel if Herkie gave that greeting to the kennel owner!

Nevermind you will see them soon and they'll be wiggling and woo wooing like mad with joy to see you!

Billysmum is right, at least you know that the kennel has proven to be a welcome place for your boys. I'm sure you will be welcomed with lots of boxer kisses when you are reunited ~ Cathy

I got my boys home today! appicon I think Herkie was a little miffed at me, but they were both very happy to be home. I thought there was too much of Herkie's food left over, but they did say he was stubborn a couple of times about eating, he does that at home too, so I wasn't overly concerned. I'm just happy to have my boys back home, where I know they will absolutely receive the care they need.

But I really like this kennel, they know who you're coming to get. And do everything for you. They took everything out of the car when we arrived & when I picked them up. I didn't have to do a thing! It's a family business, and the ENTIRE family works there...including the kids. And it's obvious that they love animals, it's a passion for them...not just a job. And the boys got bandanas and 2 candy cane rawhide treats and 2 squeaky X-mas tennis balls. I gave the rawhide treats to one of my neighbors because I don't let my babies have them. So, I am pretty sure I'll use them whenever I have to go out of town. But I'm so glad to have my boys back home! :)

So glad to hear that you found a place you like that you can send your boys! I have separation anxiety too mostly over my rescue Tyson! I worry that he won't be okay! I worry about Ali less mostly because she doesn't know to miss us yet but I'm sure she will soon! Glad your boys had a good christmas!

Don't you hate it when that happens. I like the movie "Someone Like You" with Ashley Judd and Hugh Jackman and she calls men leaving for new women new cow symdrome. That is what I call it when my babies forget about me and get all excited when someone new is around.

Today I sent Buster on a 2 nights kennel stay and I already miss him badly..... I can´t keep from wondering what he is up to, is he missing his mummy or is he having fun with the other dogs (which I really hope).... I wanted him to go to the kennel for a few days so I can see what he is like when he gets home as the kennel is our only option if we need to travel or do anything without our baby.

I know exactly how you felt when leaving your babies..... happy to hear they had a nice stay.

I hope all goes well with Buster at his stay in the kennel, I'm sure he'll do just fine. I think we tend to do worse than they do!
