Thanks so much everyone!! Things are a little better today. Your hugs and thoughts and prayers have meant so much.

Cowboy is still looking in the house for Dexter, but he's doing so much better than I am. He tries to get me to play, and we do... it helps having him. I need to give him the time and attention he needs right now, and it also helps my heart.

I so feel for you... It is so difficult to let your best friend go.
13 1/2 years is quite an age, that was quite an achievement. Still it is heartbreaking to say good-bye to such a dear one. I wish you loads of strength to cope with this terrible loss. I am sure Dexter will be waiting for you across the Bridge!
