I have seen a few postings on ear taping....

Natural ears do all sorts of weird things when they are babies! Massaging will do wonders for the ears and he will enjoy it quite a bit as well.
Don't expect perfectly settled natural ears until after teething.
At one point I thought Raine would have a natural "comb-over" due to one of her ears forever falling across her head. A ritual of evening massages and getting her through teething and they lay perfectly now.

Massaging will help if the ears are just wild or out of position. If they flop perfectly like your girl's do, then I would just let nature take it's course. I have yet to see an adult boxer with mis-aligned floppy ears. LOL My pit-boxer's ears are bat ears. I'm sure massaging them as a pup would have done wonders, but am glad they are just the way they are. It keeps him looking a bit less intense and mean. I love his bat winged ears!

If it is a big deal to you, you can try massage and taping in conjunction... But honestly, a lot of it has to do with the strength of the ”bell” of the ear. My girl has very firm bells, and so no amount of taping or massage could make her ears lie ”correctly”.

From what I understand on the matter - In areas where boxers are kept with natural ears, this generally doesn't show up so much due to selective breeding; here in the states, though, cropping is still often done and so a stronger bell would actually be beneficial for the crop to hold.

At any rate, I like to let the ears fall where they may now! Daisy absolutely Hated the ear massaging, and it eventually occurred to me that I was making her unhappy for something superficial that mattered to me... She is perfectly happy with her bat ears! It's funny to me now, sometimes I will hold daisy's ears down in a proper earset, and she just doesn't look right at all! Her crazy ears were made perfectly to suit her crazy personality :)

Either way, your baby is gorgeous!
