My boxer is Aramis, he is just over 5 years old. Aramis is a beautiful fawn with a full black mask, will post a picture soon (he loves to pose believe it or not). He makes it onto our christmas cards every year. He was born with undecended testicles which had to be removed, if left they could have caused cancer in case you didn't know. Better safe than sorry. We considered breeding and dog shows but that ended all ideas of that. He isn't dog show material anyway, he is way too hyper - I could never control him even after our dog training sessions. He is a boxer, I expected it. He is what I call a "houdini dog", he can get out of anything. We tried to keep him baby gated in the kitchen as a pup and he would be out in a matter of seconds. He can open doors and has escaped from our house as well as a hotel room - thank goodness we were still in the hallway, he scared the cleaning lady half to death! He is able to open cabinets and remove tupperware, he can also remove dishes from the sink. He can also find the most minute remnants of chocolate - M&M dispensers, even empty ones are not safe!!! He has never eaten well and always been thin. We think he has always had separation anxiety issues but it is getting so much worse lately - causing him to eat less. It even seems like the more nice things I do for him (make him eggs, hamburger and rice, etc) the worse his behavior. He has been demoted to the crate which I do not like, he is the protector of my house but when I come home to what I have been lately - well, I just don't have enough time in my day to clean up hours worth of messes. I need help and will be posting information on some of the boards soon to see if I can get some.

Welcome the people here are great. Sorry I can't give you any advice, but a lot of helpful, smart people will.

Hello, and welcome to Boxerworld :)

You've got a good few questions there. I'm sure we can help you out with some answers too, but it would be easier for us if you could ask each question separately, and in the appropriate forums. You're far more likely to get meaningful responses that way (people who know a lot about training spend more time browsing the training and behaviour forums, and those that know about health or about nutrition participate mostly in those forums).

Anyway - welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy it.

Oh my goodness...my Hannah does some of the same things and I was hoping she would outgrow it. I better get her to obedience school quick.
