I Found My New Puppy

I wanted to share the news with all of you that I found my new puppy. I'd been in contact with a few breeders and found one that I felt very comfortable with. They do the suggested health testing and are involved with confirmation. She was a wealth of information and was very helpful in answering all of my questions.

The new puppy is a male and he will be 8 weeks old on 12/14 so I still have a month to wait before he can come home. I'll be counting the days for sure!

I know some of you will want to know what I'm going to name him, but as of right now I don't know for sure. I have three names that I really like, Baxter, Logan, and Mackenzie. I'm leaning more towards Logan or Mackenzie because Baxter is a more common name, but we'll see what happens.

Thanks guys. I'm very excited, but also feeling a bit nervous. After everything I went through with Riley I'm scared of having to go through it again, but all of the health tests done on the parents say that he should be a very healthy puppy for years to come.

I'm also nervous on how Mason will react to the new puppy. He hasn't really given me any reason to think he won't be good with a puppy, but it's such a big step to take. I just hope he adjusts well to the newcomer and becomes a good big brother like Riley was to him. I'll be taking things slow with him until I know for sure he's ok being a big brother.

oh if only I could reach in and pick him up, he is fab. I like both names however in my house mackenzie would end up beeing shortened he would end up beeing called mac or ken, but any name woulsd fit that fab face.

Thanks everyone! I'm very excited to be bringing this little guy home. The breeder said she'll be emailing me pictures as he grows so as I get more, I'll share them with all of you.

I had to share that ever since I lost Riley I haven't been getting very much sleep. I've been waking up frequently in the middle of the night and then getting up early on top of that because I couldn't fall back to sleep. Those who know me know that this is very unlikely! I could literally sleep the day away. I love sleep! But, last night I actually slept straight through the night and well into the morning. I don't remember the last time I've felt so refreshed when I woke up. Apparently, my mind is more at ease now that I have found my next baby!
