I Found Chicken Soup!!!

I was soo upset to learn Iams was a bad food!! Then I tried to find Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul at the local pet store.. What a let down...all they had was Canin (sp?), Science Diet and Eukanuba! So I decided to search the web site for myself...lo and behold a store locator. I found a feed store just around the corner that sells Chicken Soup!!! Going to get it today and start the slow switch over!! Piper is not liking her Iams and not eating much, I'm hoping the Chicken Soup will do better. The vet said she was healthy as a horse (parasite wise) so the no eating was a fussy baby thing!! I'm so thrilled I HAD to share!!

Good Stuff!

I have put all my furkids on Chicken Soup. I have to special order it from my local feed store or drive 40 miles to buy it from another store! Mine really like it but my DH says they are still hungry (I feed less of CS then I did the crap food). I think they are fine, holding their weight, poops are still a little soft and I don't know why.

My pup gained 10 lbs in just over a month on CS and she eats the adult too, just a little bit more then the adults to get more nutrition in her growing body (now I was told that the difference between the puppy and the adult was a few grams of fat and feeding more of the adult to the puppy would make up for that! Please correct me if I am wrong!)

Any way, good luck on the switch and I think your pup will like it!

My pup gained 10 lbs in just over a month on CS and she eats the adult too, !

My pups have been eating it since about 8 weeks. Dozer is 7 months and Diesel is 4 months. I have found that routinely they have both gained about 10 lbs a month on it too! Once Dozer got to about 55 lbs I've noticed a decrease in weight gain he is now 60lbs and very healthy. Niether is skinny at all and they love the food. I hope it works well and it is a ton better than Iams! ( :( )

Congrats on finding a local retailer! CS is a great food. I hope that your puppy likes it more than the Iams. you will be amazed at the differences that you notice in her once you start feeding it to her. You are going to be so happy that you made the switch

I had to search for CS the same way. It really shocked me to find that the pet stores don't carry it but the local feed store does. It's the only place in a 100 mile radius that sells it.

I got my babies at a young age of 6 weeks and and in the 4 weeks that I have been feeding them CS Adult, Cairo gained 11 lbs. and Maddox 9 lbs. I am not a big treat giver, only really during training and a few low calorie ones through the day. I know CS has been the key to keeping them looking good and healthy! Your baby is going to love it!

I don't understand this at all!! Piper will not eat! I have tried everything, she has lost weight! The vet said she's healthy. I have tried, mixing raw egg, scrambled egg, gravy,canned food, yogurt,water everything!!! (not all at once tho) And she will not touch it!! I know puppies will eat when they are hungry but this is silly!! She's all skin and bones now...

Ah! Finally!! I have found something Piper loves!! My husband cooked a chicken breast and crumbled it in her C/S! She loves it!! She ate 4 bowls today, hopefully she will gain some of that weight she has lost in the past week. She's 9 weeks today and weighs 11.3 lbs.
