I don't think Bodie is coming home!

DH had to go out of town for work. It is near his parents' farm so we decided to make a vacation out of it. Well, Bodie LOVES the farm! He loves the smells and the fruits and veggies (so far he likes radishes, beets, apples, cherries and playing with walnuts!). He didn't eat them all at the same time, but boy he sure tried to! He's having so much fun exploring the farm and trying to find the cats who are currently hiding from him. We left him at the farm when we went into the city for DH's work and MIL said that he has been running and bouncing the whole time. We didn't even get to say good bye to him because he had found the stick of all sticks and was afraid we would take it from him! I miss my boy but I'm glad he's having such a fun vacation. I don't know how we are going to get him back in the car.

Oh my goodness! What a relief! I can't tell you how worried I was reading the title to your thread....thinking the absolute worst!! I've been following Apollo's story day by day and saying prayers for him, and when I saw your title, I thought, "oh no...another sick puppy!" Then I read your entry and understood what you meant about him not coming home. foolicon Glad to hear he is having such a wonderful time at his grandparents' farm! He's going to be one tired but happy pup!

Same thing with my 2 when we visit my parent's. They are in the country with a lot of property so we can let them loose and they and love to run free. Glad to hear Bodie is having a goodtime with his grandma! Isn't it fun to watch them discover new things. Maggie couldn't get over seeing horses at my parents place.

Ginger is the same way when we go to my aunt's house. She just loves playing with her dogs (two lab mixes) and cats and chasing birds. They also have a pond that they play in and acres and acres to run. However, when it's time to go all I have to do is open the car door. Makes me feel great that she chooses me over all that fun! So, since boxers are so loyal, I don't think you'll have any problem:)

I was worried when I saw this thread as well! I am so glad that Bodie is having a good time at the grandparents farm. What an adventure! I guess our boxers need a vacation from time to time too. Maggie loves to hang out with her boxer buddies so much I think she would rather be with them than with me, but she always comes to mama when its time to go home.

I wish the farm was closer, it is about 13 hours away. Bodie also discovered pine cones and sprinklers at the farm-silly boy! I was a little worried about his behavior because he had been used to running free and "looser" rules. We packed up the car at 6 yesterday morning and said "Bodie, car". I couldn't believe it when he ran to the car and jumped right in! He never jumps in on his own! He was such a good boy in the car on the drive home. We took him straight to the dog park to work off 13 hours of sleeping and he found a boxer girl his exact same age. The two played like I've never seen him play, they jumped and boxed and bounced-it was so fun to watch! Of course today he is back to his crazy self!
