I Have just found out that Elvis's 'birth mum' is due another litter on 3rd December! I am so so so wanting and ready for another baby now Elvis is 16months. But bad bf say's no as Elvis is so spoilt it would put his nose out of joint. Is this a good age to think about getting another baby? or will it upset Elvis?

I'm not certain, but I have heard that the best time to get another is when the first one is fully trained and through their adolescent stage. That way, they can kind of "help" to train the younger one. How cool would it be to have a real brother or sister for Elvis, though?! Especially if they are using the same father for the litter.

I would tend to think that Elvis would be fine, and may even welcome the company! He would have a friend to play with and keep him occupied! Good luck!!

I will ALWAYS have multiple boxers, but I do like to space their ages out. Like Jen said, you don't want 2 of them going through adolescence if you can avoid it!! :) Having more than 1 is awesome! they play and wear each other out and when you want to cuddle, you'll have them all over you. It's so much fun! Keep in mind, it's obviously double the expense, too. Double food & double vet bills!

I think that Elvis will be fine. If your BF dosen't want a new pup, then sneak one:). Well, I hope that you can get you another furry bundle of joy!

I think that 16 months is old enough to have another baby in your home. We got Bosco when Crash was only 8 months old to keep company when we are at work. Crash was already potty trained at the time and absolutely loves other dogs so we didnt have to worry about agression issues. He immediately took in Bosco and would let him get away with murder if he wanted. They love each other and can't stand being apart for a moment.

It's always double the kisses, cuddles, wiggles, laughter and unconditional love!! I say if you are ready to go for it

brandy was 15 mths when we brought Tigger home and she was fine - loved him to pieces - maybe a bit too much - won;t leave him alone, he had to run to mummy for a sleep

my two are 1/2 brother and sister - same mum different fathers - but the fathers are actually brothers so i guess they are cousins as well

two is so fun fun - they tire each other out - brandy has taught tigger heaps and he has taught her stuff as well - potty training tigger was so much easier than with brandy, he never had an accident inside he was such an easy baby

i love having 2 boxers

Duchess was just a yr old when we brought Barrett home. They seem to be doing well together besides some minor issues we worked thru. Good luck with the begging!!
