hyper from benedryl

can benedryl make dogs hyper instead of sleepy? I think this happened to Blue.

I give Buster benedryl and he never slows down. Give me benedryl and I have to take a nap......

Yep. Depending on the dog, it is a normal reaction.

I am not sure if benadryl can make dogs hyper, but as a nurse, I have seen it have that effect on a few children, but for the vast majority it's goodnight!
