Hurt Foot, Need Help

My puppy Soco did something to her foot this evening. She won't put any pressure on it and cries when I try to touch it. My vet is closed for the night and I going to take her first thing in the morning. It doesn't look like it's broken (nothing sticking out, no visiable swelling) but I can tell she's in pain. Is there anything I can do or give her to help her make it through the night untill I can take her to the vet in the morning? Thanks for any help.

You could try to ice it. Take a Ziploc bag and put some ice in it and crush it with the flat side of a meat hammer or a rolling pin. Then put it in another Ziploc because the first bag will have some holes in it. Wrap it in a towel and try to gently hold it on her foot.

You mentioned she is a puppy so you really can't give aspirin. Check your phone book for an emergency vet in your area, maybe they can advise you on what to do until morning.
