howling

We have a question about our 9 month old brindle female, Banshee. A few months ago we bought her a squeaky toy, and she did the funniest thing with it. She would make it squeak repeatedly with her snout and paws and then howl at it with her nose pointed skyward! (This is a dog that never howls and hardly ever barks.) Once the squeak was out of that toy, we thought the fun was over, but we have a new squeak toy that she does the same thing with. It is really entertaining to watch, and we were wondering if any other boxers do anything similar.

Toby loves his squeek toy, but instead howling when it squeeks, he will just constantly sqeek the thing. He will look for new ways to squeek it. For example, he will knock it against the wall, or knock it against my leg, etc. If he is not doing that he is constantly chewing it to make it sqeek. I think he knows it makes us laugh and he likes to "perform".

That's cute! :D Tyson loves to squeak his toy over and over again, too. He will get right up in my face and squeak away when he wants me to play..he does this a LOT when I'm on the phone :rolleyes: Like he resents the attention taken away from him. People on the other end are like "what's that noise?" :D
