Hello everyone! My name is Tiffany, and my husband Patrick and I are the proud owners of a little princess named Jade! She's 5 months old and a big bundle of energy! Everyday I’m amazed at how smart she is because she picks up training so well! Within a week of moving in, the little doll mastered ringing her bell to signal when she needs out to go potty! Even now, she still tries to figure out how to twist the doorknob herself! She’s a riot!!!

I fell in love with boxers because my father owned & bred boxers for over 10 years. Emperess (dame), Pharaoh (sire), & Tanguerey were his pride & Joy! Emperess became aggressive after giving birth to her last litter, so my father placed her in a home where she was better adapted. Guess after many years of being my father’s favorite, she wasn’t willing to share the limelight.

On my father's deathbed he asked me to make sure his dogs were taken care of which showed me how much they meant to him. At the time I was stationed overseas in England and could not ship the dogs with me. A good friend had fallen in love with them and agreed to take care of them like his own until I returned to the states. He was crazy about the dogs, and sent me e-mails on a daily basis, about all the funny stuff they did every day. My friend was convinced they were 1/2 human because of their ability to open doors among other things. Unfortunately, in one of the cruelest cases of animal abuses, my friend found both dogs murdered after someone had gagged & bound both dogs and threw them in a pool to drown. Unfortunately the crime was never solved and we all remained devastated. For years I was could not forgive myself for not fulfilling my father's deathbed wish and losing 2 of the world's greatest dogs. Pharaoh and Tanguarey were my father's princes. And on 9/02 the rejoined their king in the kingdom of heaven.

I promised myself if I ever got my own dog, it would definitely be a boxer, and two months ago, my little princess Jade came into my life! I have made a vow to my father to raise her and take care of her in memory of his two fallen princes. I look forward to getting advice and interacting with everyone and sharing my little beauty with you all!

Welcome to BW, Tiffany! :)
Being around Boxers and your dad being a breeder, there is probably advice you can give us!
I am SOO sorry to hear about your father's Boxers. Such a terrible cruel way to die. I hope someday the people/person responsible for this are caught and punished.
Now you have your own little doll. PUPPY BREATH!! :) (You lucky girl):)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Jade & I feel like a member of the family already! We definitely look forward to sharing pictures & our exciting stories about Princess Jade's reign! I truly appreicate all the kind words in regards to the loss of her "uncles!" It's been 3 years now and I still think about them all the time. I put their picture up by her crate so she can see her uncles and know how much they would've loved her if they could've been here with her as well! Anyway, like I said...we can't wait to get to know everyone better!

The story of your dad's boxers brought tears to my eyes. It is so hard to imagine anyone being so awful. I hope that your Jade makes you as happy as my Jade makes me. Welcome.

Hi Dawn! I say your name and I was confused for a minute! I was like, "Wait...I thought my screen name was Jade'sMommie?" LOL Anyway, obviously I like you already! Seems we have a lot in common! Thank you for the condolences as well! What's truly tragic about the story is the friend who was watching them was actually an ex-boyfriend! And I didn't find out from him, another friend who lived in Las Vegas e-mailed me to tell me he'd seen my ex on the news telling the story of what happenened! My friend didn't realize the dogs were actually mine so it was actually very heartbreaking when I read the e-mail! I had to read it 1,000 times before I realize that the dogs were dead. What's truly crappy it happened 2 weeks before I found out. My ex told me he had to get his composure to tell me because he knew on top of everything that happened with us, that would've been the last straw. Anyway, they're with my Dad now and that's all that matters!

I'm sure that they are happy now that they are back with your dad. I lost a cat when I was younger, she was murdered in our front yard by a cult. It is a terrible thing to lose an animal unnaturally. It can be very hard to get over. Jade is my first puppy since I lost my malamute, Sadie, at the age of 4 to a very aggressive bone cancer. How funny that we both choose the name Jade for our next babies. I don't know if you know this, I didn't when we picked it, but Jade (the gem) is described by the Chinese as the "stone of heaven." My friend told me that. She thought that it was a very appropriate name for my next baby after I lost Sadie, and I think it is for you too.
