I'd say it depends exactly on what she means by housetraining... the puppy or the owner? 
I do not believe it is possible to housetrain any puppy in such a short period. Most puppies will be more like six months old before they fully understand about housetraining. BUT it is entirely possible to be accident-free within a very short time frame (maybe seven days). However, that is completely reliant on the owner being vigilent about ensuring that the puppy is always taken outside when it is going to need to go, praising wildly every time. It involves not only knowing when that is, but constantly watching for signs... and being right there every single time. Basically, it means eliminating the opportunities for the puppy to get things wrong. If that is what she means by housetraining, then sure, it's entirely possible
But IMO if she means the pup will understand that quickly, then she's on the wrong planet LOL

I actually used that book with Markus. He certainly wasn't housetrained in 7 days, but he did have very few accidents in the house. She has lots of different schedules as to whether you are working or not etc. I adjusted one to fit my needs. It uses the crate to good advantage. I found it worked quite well especially for someone who doesn't have a clue how to housetrain.
I actually bought the book before we brought home our 11wk old female 2 1/2 years ago. We had not had a dog in 10yrs. So I thought why not refresh my memory and try it. I thought it was very informative especially if you have never had a puppy. Also I think the best thing it does is Stress the importance of Routine. Just like when you have a baby and they get into a nap, feeding etc. schedule. It works well, they like the structure and become better little ones because of it. I think the same goes for our Fur babies. Oh Yeah, and my little girl only had a few accidents in the house and a few were the Skinkids not paying attention to her need to go out.
